Big Storm in Annapolis Calls for Creative Rainwear

What do you do when you’re sitting in a restaurant realizing it is time to get back to the office and you realize that a heavy rainstorm is raging outside and you and your colleague forgot their umbrellas? In my case, I left my raincoat and umbrella in the office. Veronica, our publisher and CEO of What’s Up? Media Group left her umbrella in her car. Thankfully, her car was valet parked so we didn’t have far to go. Kathy Swekel, Executive Director of the Annapolis Children’s Theater who had joined us for lunch, suggested we borrow an umbrella from the restaurant– Brio. Unfortunately they had no “house” umbrellas. SO…I asked if they could give me a garbage bag. They brought us two and they were very big. They worked beautifully, once we punched a whole out at the top. They were nice and long, and stylishly clear. Our clothes stayed dry but we looked pretty funny so I asked one of the parking valet to take our picture. Laugh and enjoy! If you happen to have any funny photos of storm garb or stories to tell, please share them.

  1. Well this is certainly “tres chic”..lol. I’m sure with a little stitch here and maybe a dart or two you could sell this style!!!
Have a great day! Oh and don’t forget your umbrella…
