I am reminded of the fairy tale The Emperor’s New Clothes. The foolish and vain emperor pays several bags of gold to clever tailors who tell him they are selling him robes of fabulous cloth that only the wise can see.
When did everyone stop listening to one another? I think back to 2016 and I’m certain the dismantling of civility began just after the election.
