Midnight Madness Celebrates Annapolis

I love this town, Annapolis that is. Midnight Madness is just another good example of how great it is to live downtown. No worries about parking and a chance to do local errands and shopping all within a 3 mile radius.
Last night’s Midnight Madness was everything it should be. Carolers on every street corner. A steel band, a brass band, and lots of hot cider and cookies. The air was slightly crisp but clear and the streets were mobbed with shoppers. It was girl’s night out for me with my friend Lily and a few of her friends who were able to brave the traffic and claim a parking space. So my tip for next week (Thursday night December 15th)is to park far away and use the shuttle buses or take advantage of the exercise opportunity and walk a mile.
As for shopping, I saw lots of filled shopping bags, however I prefer to shop when it’s less crowded, so I’ll be doing my browsing during the weekdays since I currently have the luxury of a flexible schedule. Don’t forget the side streets, Maryland Avenue, and upper West Street. There are many places with tempting items for a variety of tastes. Remember, keep it local, and support your hometown.
