I’m looking out the window from my desk and the sky is blue and the sun is shining. Meanwhile I received an email from my son Chris, a grad student in the midwest, and he is buried under 17 inches of snow last time he checked. The wind is howling and the roads dangerous, so he is working from home today, catching up on his writing and studies.
While we’ve had an unseasonably cold winter here in Maryland, I can’t complain. It is a pleasant enough day to want to take a walk, even though I slept through the 6:00 a.m. alarm clock call this morning due to rain, just rain. It’s days like to day that I am happy to live in the moment and enjoy what I have, even if there is a pile of work on my desk and I really need to clean my desk. But I think instead, I’ll take that walk!
